How does Crash Alert work?

Crash Alert is activated when the adapter detects an impact that meets a certain threshold. The Automatic adapter contains an accelerometer that we use to detect collisions. This is the same component within your phone that allows it to detect if you shake or rotate it.

Please note that Crash Alert has important limitations, including the fact that we can't detect airbag deployment.
