Named Places in the Automatic app enables you to set a geofence around a specific location. Instead of having your trips start and end at a specific address, you can set custom locations, such as Home or Work.
How can I add a Named Place
You can add Named Places to your account from the main menu page on the app. Tap on the launcher 
and tap Settings then Named Places Settings. Tap on Add. Next enter the address or tap on the map. Add the new address and create your custom name then save the entry.
You can edit a Named Place by tapping on Edit next to the name and renaming the location or deleting it.
Can I set a custom geofence?
No, the geofence is set at a radius of 150 meters.
Is this accessible via 3rd party apps like IFTTT, or the API?
Not at this time, but perhaps in the future!
How many named places can I have?
You can have up to 10 named places.
